About the Journal

The Axumite Journal of Computing and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development (AJCAI) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, open-access journal formally established by Aksum University under the legislative authority of Proclamation NO. 1152/2009. The journal serves as a premier institutional vehicle for promoting technical knowledge contributed by academic staff while encouraging global researchers to address socio-economic challenges through digital innovation. Strategically designed to function as an interdisciplinary repository for original, peer-reviewed scientific articles, AJCAI integrates advanced computing methodologies such as machine learning, neural networks, Big Data analytics, and digital technologies with sustainable development goals. The journal is published annually with two issues per year and operates under a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring the highest levels of academic integrity and methodological reliability. AJCAI is committed to Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, with strict ethical clearance protocols and plagiarism detection policies in place. By transitioning from traditional dissemination channels like bulletins and conference proceedings to a robust, indexed journal, Aksum University aims to enhance its international research visibility and foster knowledge exchange among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Governance is guided by a comprehensive working manual that defines the roles of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Advisory Board. AJCAI focuses on computing, artificial intelligence, digital agriculture, climate informatics, natural resources management, and related fields, providing high-quality concepts, methodologies, novel research outputs, scenarios, and case studies for all beneficiaries. The journal aims to become a leading international platform by 2035, contributing significantly to the power of technology for sustainable development transformation in Ethiopia and the broader world.
